OK! It's boring! - but it is important, so please read the terms and conditions set out below, carefully:

DRIVERS

Drivers must be between 25 and 70 years of age and held a full driving licence valid for the relevant vehicle for at least 5 years prior to the commencement of hire. All authorised drivers licences must be free of endorsements except for minor speeding or parking offences ( more than 3 points may be subject to an additional surcharge from the insurance provider. Drivers who passed their test after 1998 will be restricted to certain weights of motor homes, please contact us to check.

The price of the hire includes one named driver, additional drivers may be added ( subject to the above conditions) at a charge of £40 per driver per week. All nominated drivers are required to submit their personal details on the booking form. All drivers must be present at the commencement of the hire and produce personal identification such as a valid passport and confirmation of address for example a recent utility bill or bank statement.

At the time of collection all drivers must produce a current driving licence plus personal identification. For UK photo licences both the card and the counterpart paper licence must be available. Visitors from abroad must produce a valid unendorsed UK licence or an international driving permit.

INSURANCE

Fully comprehensive insurance for use in the UK is included within the hire charge for the period agreed. SHOULD THE MOTORHOME BE RETURNED LATE the hirer will be immediately committing a traffic offence together with the personal liability of any accidental damage to the motor home. PLEASE NOTE PERSONAL POSSESSIONS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER OUR INSURANCE hirers are advised to take out personal holiday insurance.

INSURANCE EXCESS and SECURITY BOND

A £600 damage deposit is payable at commencement of the hire. If the motor home is returned on time undamaged, complete and a clean interior the deposit will be refunded within 7 days of the hire return. Should the condition be otherwise all cleaning repairs and replacements will be charged against the deposit any excess costs of rectification over and above the £600 will be the responsibility of the hirer.

A charge of £60 will be made for un emptied chemical toilet tanks. Please note the late return surcharge conditions under the "returns" section.

Hirers travelling abroad will require additional continental comprehensive insurance and 5star cover supplied by Springfield at a cost of £75 per week.

RESERVATIONS

Select the type of vehicle required, please note the vehicle may not be identical to those illustrated but will be of equal specification.

Select period and departure date.

Telephone or email to confirm availability upon verbal confirmation the booking will be held for 3 days

Complete the booking form fully and post with a deposit of £300 per week ( or part week), or email/fax together with credit/debit card details. Confirmation of booking and balance due will be sent to you.

Please note full payment is required 4 weeks before the start of the hire period

Failure to pay the balance within this timescale may result in the vehicle being allocated to another hirer.

CANCELLATIONS

All cancellations need to be confirmed in writing. Springfield will endeavour to re hire the motor home and if successful will refund all monies less a £50 administration charge. Should we be unable to re hire the hirer will be responsible for the full cost of the period less the VAT and Insurance. Hirers are strongly advised to obtain insurance to avoid this situation.

Springfield reserve the right to refuse hire if information supplied on the booking form and licence section is incorrect, in these circumstances all hire charges already paid will be forfeited.

COLLECTION & RETURNS

Collection

All motor homes to be collected between 4.00pm and 5.30pm

The hirer will receive a full handover at the commencement of the hire when the hirer will acknowledge delivery of the vehicle and inventory free from defect and damage. The hirer is advised to check the vehicle thoroughly before leaving the company s premises.

Returns

Upon return our representative will inspect the vehicle for damage etc. Any rectification costs will be set against the security bond.

PLEASE NOTE MOTORHOMES MUST BE RETURNED BETWEEN 8.30am and 10.00am on the day of return specified in the booking. Failure to comply with this arrangement will attract a surcharge of £50 per hr should the hirer be more than 3hrs late ( surcharge £150.00 ) the full security bond will be forfeited. No refunds will be payable for early returns.

LIABILITIES

Springfield accept no liability for a replacement vehicle, accommodation, travel or any other consequential costs arising from the breakdown of the vehicle. Should a vehicle be involved in an accident or theft of contents the incident should be reported to a Springfield representative immediately on 01262 674748. An accident report will need to be completed at the end of the hire, please retain all details at the time of the incident.

Should the motor home be involved in an accident which requires recovery Springfield will not be liable for replacing the damaged vehicle or consequential loss of the remaining holiday.

The hirer is responsible for all fines, penalties and congestion charges committed against the road traffic act regulations and city regulations.

The hirer is liable for all damage to the exterior and interior cosmetic or otherwise ( excepting third party insurance no fault claim) Attention must be paid to the high sides and roof when driving. Drivers must pay particular attention to all 4 bumper corners and check tyre pressures and fluid levels daily.

The hirer is required to be diligent in locking the motor home and parking sensibly whilst in their control.

BREAKDOWN

In the event of a breakdown the motor home is covered by the RAC emergency services. Should a small item need replacing i.e. bulbs ect the hirer is authorised to spend up to £50.00 providing a full VAT invoice with description is produced at the end of the holiday. For repairs costing more than £50.00 prior authorisation from Springfield will need to be obtained. Any call outs which are as a result of negligence of the hirer or passengers i.e. wrong fuel, lost keys etc will be at the cost of the hirer. The cost of rectification in these circumstances will be charged to the hirer.

DIESEL FUEL

A full tank of diesel is supplied with the vehicle the hirer is expected to return the vehicle with a full tank. Any shortfall will be charged to the hirer.

GAS

Two cylinders are supplied with at least one full, subsequent refills are the responsibility of the hirer, all refilled cylinders must be of the same size and fitting.

PETS

As a general rule no animals are allowed in our motor homes however some small animals may be permitted by prior arrangement the decision would be entirely of the discretion on Springfield motor homes. Any damage caused as a result of animals would be charged to the hirer in full.

SMOKING

Smoking is not allowed in any of our vehicles, infringement of this condition will incur a minimum charge of £200.00.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

Springfield motor homes cannot be held responsible damage or inconvenience due to poor weather conditions ie high winds and freezing which may affect your holiday.

CUSTOMER PARKING

Secure parking is provided free of charge at the owners own risk .All keys must be deposited with reception.

MOTORHOME AVAILABILITY

Whilst every effort will be made to ensure the reserved motor home is available, if due to circumstances beyond our control an alternative vehicle is not available our liability is limited to a full refund of all monies paid by the hirer.
